
Veterinarian
Dr. Marie McKibbin graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984, and from the Ontario Veterinary College as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She spent 3 years in small animal practice in the Oshawa area, before moving permanently to Grey County. She has been with the Owen Sound Veterinary Clinic for more than 20 years and purchased the practice in 1996. Her special interests include emergency medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology and soft tissue surgery. Dr. McKibbin also has her intermediate level qualifications in small animal ultrasonography and regularly accepts referrals from other practices in the area for patients needing imaging. For five years, Marie was a regular contributor to Canadian Living Magazine as their “Ask A Vet” pet columnist.
Dr. McKibbin lives on a farm near Keady with her husband and two children. Marie is also mother to two dogs, Genny & Bandit, and two cats, Katniss and Missy. Her interests include music (she is a vocalist for the Naneff Singers), hiking, amateur astronomy, gardening, and reading.
